Volume 17 is the latest Index volume and it covers this arc. I didn't recognize the Academy City Invasion Arc at first since it's been a while since I watched the anime, but it appears this arc was in the anime. From the Wiki page, I would guess you would start at volume 17 for the Index manga since the second arc involving the Catholic nuns ends in 16. Despite not having read two of them, I'm fairly confident that none of them passes the point the anime got to just by looking at the covers and reading summaries. Going back to Index, only the first seven volumes have been published in English. A new arc also begins in volume 7, so that's the one you'll want to start with that, chapter 40, called Clique. For Railgun, the Sisters Arc concludes in volume 7. As of volume 5 of Index, the manga has not caught up to the conclusion of the anime. Despite the weight limit of objects to teleport, her powers are left unrestricted and thus uses a flashlight to guide her attacks.I've read up to volume 11 of the manga of A Certain Scientific Railgun and volume 5 of the manga of A Certain Magical Index. She has a target range of 800m and can teleport objects as heavy as 4520 kg although she has a limit of 10,000 kg. Her main ability is Move Point and she can use it to teleport various objects at her targets. Teleportation: Awaki is a Level 4 Esper with the ability to teleport much like Kuroko can.Awaki is at first afraid of her ability to teleport based off of an incident back in her past but she was able to overcome it by October 9. It's also implied that she acts uncouthly when guys aren't around and is described as "someone that seems to think that it is not a problem to be seen completely naked if it is among girls". As a Level 0 Academy City first-year high school student, his point-of-view allows the audience to become acquainted to the mysterious world of Toaru Majutsu no Index, and is mostly involved in the events of its Magic Side.
Awaki is refered to as a "shotacon" by the other members fo GROUP stemming from how she's the only one in the organization that takes her job seriously while the others don't. Kamijou Touma (, Kamij Tma) is the main protagonist of the Toaru Majutsu no Index series and an important character in the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun series. Awaki is also shown to be rather merciful demonstrated how she'll avoid killing if she can and also spared a mercenary attacker during a raid on the Reformatory complex. Awaki acts all cold and ruthless during her debut but after she ends up moving in with Komoe Tsukuyomi, she ends up redeeming herself and develops a much more kinder side to her personality.Īwaki views Komoe as a mother-like figure as she raises her and cares for her even though Komoe herself is caring for Awaki, an agent for Academy City's dark side and a de-facto criminal. She's willing to take down any opponent she faces but won't take their lives if necessary. She often takes down her opponents well and often times likes to see them suffer like in the case of Kuroko during their first encounter. Awaki is also seen carrying around a military flashlight which she uses to guide objects that she teleports at her target.Īwaki is very sufficiant in her missions when in comes to her activities that she conducts in the darkside of Academy City. She's also seen wearing bandages over her breasts sometimes as well. War between those organizations is also starting to emerge. Index is still a fugitive and many powerful Magical organizations and individuals want to take her to use the books in her memory eliminating her in the process. She wears the Kirigaoka Girls' Academy jacket over her shoulders as if it were a cape and she usually wears a skirt and a pink croptop. A Certain Magical Index: With Monica Rial, Micah Solusod, Alexis Tipton, Christopher Sabat.
Awaki is an average teenage girl with dark red hair and two low ponytails.
